One of the first breakthrough projects released on DJ Vadim's Jazz Fudge label, The Isolationist is a collaboration between abstract intellectual hip-hop innovators Anti-Pop Consortium, DJ Vadim,
and DJ Primecuts. A masterful use of space-aged production and space in
general, this record compliments all contributors and emphasizes each
of their strengths while creating one of 1999's most underrated albums. A
characteristic Vadim produced and arranged record, the sound emerges
undoubtedly underground, with wide-open organic beats and minimalist
tracks that leave most of the room for intelligent lyrics and
other-worldly scratching. Specifically, dub-leaning kick-snare
combinations with trippy, floating keyboard samples and futuristic
factory noises make up a style that the Russian-born producer has
perfected before and doesn't stray from. DJ Primecuts of the U.K.'s Scratch Perverts
brings his kinky DMC Championship style and cuts raw sonic syncopation
on nine of the 19 tracks. The unifying thematic accomplishment that
takes place on this venture of underground all-stars is the flow of the
entire set as a whole work. Fans of the Ninja Tune Vadim discography all
need this record, as do fans of Anti-Pop's Tragic Epilogue record on 75
Ark.

Epidemic - Illin Spree & Illin Spree (Instrumentals) by 5th element
A hardcore Hip-hop album for the fan of grimy Boom-bap production and
complex multi-syllabic rhymes. The album is entirely produced by 5th
Element, with guest production courtesy of B-hard Productions. Dark
samples, bass-heavy loops, and gritty Boom-bap drums throughout the cd,
give it an aggressive, dark, and at times melancholic feel, which lays
the foundation for some of the most complex and razor-sharp lyrics heard
since the golden era of rap back in the 90's. MC's Hex One and
Tek-nition (of Epidemic), display lyrical prowess with styles consisting
heavily of multi's and rapid-fire delivery while still maintaining
clever wordplay consistently throughout the album. With only one feature
artist (Kylla Buss) and 17 solid tracks, Illin Spree is quickly
becoming a fan favorite among underground Hip-hop circles.

Mcabre Brothers - Gonzo Lyricism (2011)
The third and final instalment from the Brothers Mcabre (Lee Scott &
Monster Under The Bed) "Gonzo Lyricism" has arrived at long last. The
album was originally intended for physical release and then shelved due
to various unforeseen bull shit. Blah has decided to put the album up
for digital release rather than let it rot in the vaults. The LP
features Ramson Badbonez, Craig G (of Juice Crew fame), scouse bad man
Bang On! (Big Dada), Dutchmaster J (Piff Gang), Barebase, Bill Shakes,
Salar and King Grubb. Production is handled by Reklews, Lee Scott, Sly
Moon, Lou Hekla and 2Late. Scratches by Herrotics and DJ LSG.
Shahmen - Enter The Circle EP (2010)
SHAHMEN is what hip-hop is supposed to sound like in the year 2010. The SHAHMEN sound is a dance between moments of pure tonal bliss and dark, hard, banging beats .
“Been around the world, already touched six continents, the same pair of Vans slip-ons walked all of ‘em, I found Sense floating on a boat in holla land, and ever since then we been building and acknowledging… The world is truly strange, and it only gets stranger, The scenery is beautiful but I also sense danger” -The Stranger, SHAHMEN .
Mixed by Sense, Vocals by BLS, Unorthadox & mastered by Arts The Beatdoctor. Artwork by The Binh & Bioniq from Russia.
Epidemic - Monochrome Skies (2012)
An atmospheric and melodic listening experience from beginning to end. Produced in it's entirety by Luxembourg beat-maker Jesse James, the album dives much deeper into the minds of its creators than its hardcore predecessor. It begins as an animated exposition, but slowly takes you on a journey through the tempest which represents many of society's woes, the struggles of everyday life, and the power of complex, cryptic lyrics. With themes including the mysteries of death, government conspiracies, the love of music (which can verge on addiction) and the many pitfalls of the music industry, this project shows a whole new facet of Epidemic's artistic capabilities. Staying true to their roots however, and with the MC's maintaining their multi-syllabic styles, there are still some songs highly reminiscent of the signature sound heard prominently throughout their debut album "Illin Spree." Features include LMS, Efeks (of Prose), Estee Nack & Purpose (of Tragic Allies), and guest production by One-Take. Scratches were provided by DJ Tha Boss.
